ABOUT THE SPEK ANCHOR
The Spek Anchor is one of the most widely used conventional stockless anchors for ships. It is the evolution of the classical Hall Anchor, the shape of the Spek Anchor allows it to fit better inside the anchor pocket on the hull of the ship.
Depending on the design of the hull, it is better to use the Spek Anchor or the Spek M which has a shorter shank.
The Spek is a Ship Anchor, it is widely used in conventional commercial vessels of different sizes, as well as being typically found in fishing boats.

The Spek Anchor is also typically balanced, allowing for an easy retreival or pooling out of the water, and simpler operations.

Commonly, Stockless Anchors are fabricated with high quality GS200 cast steel or equivalent types, due to their high weldability properties. This ductile steel simplifies the manufacture process without compromising quality, making it the perfect choice for fast deliveries. The smaller sizes of standard Spek Anchors weight around 50 and 75 kgs. Regular sizes begin at 100 kgs and are up to 900 kgs. There are large sizes of this stockless anchor weighting between 1020 and 9900 kgs, and the largest ones weighting between 10500 and 29000 kgs.
